Indomethacin has a powerful anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action to determine a strong inhibition of the COX-1 enzyme and thus the synthesis of prostaglandins.
Each vial with lyophilized powder contains:
Indomethacin 50 mg
(Thimerosal 0.01 mg) (with 1 ampoule with sterile water for injection 2 ml)
Indometacin powder for injection is indicated for moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis including acute flares of chronic disease, moderate to severe ankylosing spondylitis, moderate to severe osteoarthritis, acute painful shoulder (bursitis and/or tendinitis), acute gouty arthritis, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in premature infants (babies born too early) who weigh between 500 and 1750 grams.
5 bottle-ampoule of lyophilized powder (1 ampoule = 50 mg) + 5 ampoules of solvent (1 ampoule of solvent = 2 ml).
